
TOM FONTANA PROTAGONIST AT THE ROMAFICTIONFEST
The creator of “I BORGIA,” “OZ,” and “THE PHILANTHROPIST” will be talking about his own experience during a Master Class. American television veteran, writer, creator and producer of television’s most important series, three-time Emmy winner, Tom Fontana will be the protagonist of one of the Master classes of the 5th edition of the RomaFictionFest, promoted by the Lazio Region and the Rome Chamber of Commerce and organised by the APT (Television Producers Association) to be held September 25-30, 2011 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. In over twenty years of activity, Fontana has been the creator of series loved by critics and audiences alike worldwide: from Ozto Homicide, from The Philanthropist to the recent The Borgias to be aired on Sky Cinema 1 this coming autumn and Copper, a new series to be aired in 2012 by BBC on the adventures of an Irish Police detective in 19th century New York. The RomaFictionFest returns with a series of Master classes, curated by Marco Spagnoli, during which experts and field professionals both Italian and international will be sharing their experiences with the public. Meetings which offer television buffs the unique chance to meet with the personalities whose genius and intuitions have given life to the most fortunate series of international television. The artistic direction of the RomaFictionFest is headed for the fourth consecutive year by Steve Della Casa, while the industry section is guided again by Antony Root. Andrea Piersanti joins them in the communication strategies department.
